Female Teachers in Rural Schools (in collaboration with Ms. Rana Nazir Ali, Karachi)

Proposed Duration: 16 February 2001 – 20 April 2001

Objectives:

• To devise a mechanism for a two/three week in-service teacher-training programme for rural female teachers for improving their teaching skills;

• To design model teacher-training centres for improvement of the training given to rural female teachers;

• To generate training materials focussed on attitudinal change in female rural teachers;

Activities:

• Training Course outline developed and approved;

• Final Training Module developed and approved;

• Implementation of the training course for female teachers, and a follow-up on the course.
