Women Development Education
- Development of a Masters-level Course for the EPM Department (in
collaboration with the AIOU, Islamabad)
Proposed Duration: 10 January 2001 – 25 July 2001
Objectives:
- To develop a better understanding of the conceptual and methodological aspects
of women’s development for their socio-economic uplift;
- To understand the role of women in the development of society;
- To analyze the present position and trends of female literacy in Pakistan;
- To indicate the behaviour and skills needed to conduct research on gender
issues;
- To motivate the teachers to play their role for women’s development in the
society and to measure, evaluate and monitor the teacher’s role on women’s
development after successfully completing the course;
- To develop a better understanding about various training methodologies and
their implications in the field for development of women in Pakistan.
Activities:
- Development of a Course outline;
- Construction of a writers committee, with a task assigned to each writer
after several meetings to effectively convey the findings of the project.
