Promoting Family Health and Development (in collaboration with the MoPW, DPPW and the Health Services Department, AJK)

Proposed Duration: 2001 - 2003

Objectives:

• To improve the family health and well being of the community and the situation of women through Family Development Centres (FDCs)

Activities:

• Provision of quality Reproductive Health (RH), Family Planning (FP) and MCH information, counseling and services;

• Provision of basic education, literacy and numeracy skills to girls and women;

• Skill training for income generation activities for girls and women;

• Participation of local bodies elected women councilors (Union Council, Tehsil and District) in (a) training for advocacy of FDCs services for RH and gender equality ; (b) other training activities of FDCs.
