Proposed Duration: 1999 – 2003

Objectives:

To raise community awareness, with a focus on high-risk groups, through capacity building of health personnel and NGOs involved in, or planning to work on, HIV/AIDS awareness.

Activities:

The main thrust of various activities for HIV/AIDS prevention and control has been towards building widespread awareness to reduce the risk of contracting and transmitting the disease, especially to women and children.
