Supporting Processes for Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation (PM&E) – gender disaggregation

Proposed Duration: 1999 – 2003

Objectives:

• To strengthen informed planning and decision-making in the country through identifying and engaging national institutions in monitoring and evaluation of children and women’s rights.

Activities:

• Provide support to federal and provincial development departments to strengthen capacities for development planning;

• Provide support to the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) for improving analysis of data;

• Strengthen the Health Management Information System (HMIS);

• Strengthen the Education Management Information System (EMIS) to promote use and analysis of data for planning and monitoring;

• Update and print district profiles in Balochistan;

• Conduct District Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys;

• Support the End Decade Review (EDR) process;

• Support the Multi-donor Support Unit (MSU) for improved monitoring of the Social Action Programme (SAP).

Remarks:

All of the activities listed above generate gender-disaggregated data.
