Say Yes for Children in Pakistan

The Say Yes for Children rallying call and pledge provides a unique opportunity for garnering an enormous recommitment to children worldwide. The campaign has both a global and local component, the two complementing and supporting each other. Through a variety of activities, the ten points of the pledge will be disseminated widely and its signatories presented to the UN Special Session.

The objectives of the campaign are threefold:

  • to demonstrate a broad-based engagement on the issues facing children;
  • to serve as a tool for strengthening accountability and participation; and
  • to provide a means to increase action for children.

In Pakistan, the campaign to collect signatures, which includes printing of the pledge in magazines and newspapers as well as dissemination through schools and youth organisations, is well underway and volunteers working with the National Commission on Child Welfare and Development (NCCWD) have begun entering results online.
