This report is a summary of the prevalent Education Systems in Pakistan. It takes a look at all the various contributors to this system in the country, and also highlights the reasons for their success or failure. It is basically focused on the government program of education for all, but also highlights the role of NGOs in this field. The report elaborates on the targets that have already been achieved in the field of education, and points out the challenges that still exist and need to be tackled. It also comes up with concrete recommendations to improve the present system of education. The report stresses not only on the quantity, but also the quality of education, and emphasizes the need for decentralization through mobilization of communities in managing basic education.
