Electronic Document Delivery
Upon receipt of a reference or information request from Online Users, we perform searches in our library 's Online Databases and send the results of these searches as e-mail attachments to inform about the information items available in our Library on the topic of their request.

The in-house users may perform these searches themselves from their desktops, using the LAN access to the ONLINE CATALOG or the CD Net-Server.

The required documents may be delivered electronically, as follows:

  • The Digital Documents

    By e-mail:

The statistical tables, periodical articles and United Nations Documents available in the CD-ROM or online databases, may be downloaded for the users upon request and delivered as e-mail attachments to all users.

Scanned images of required print pages (limited to urgent need only) may be delivered by e-mail attachments to selected users.

  • Parts / pages of  Print Documents ( For UN House Agencies only)

    By FAX: 

    Up to 10 pages of information items (journal articles and parts of books )can be supplied by FAX in case of urgent need.  

    By e-mail: 

    Scanned images of required pages (limited to urgent need only) may be delivered as e-mail attachments to the e-mail address of the UN House staff or projects stationed in remote areas.

    Photocopies of required articles or documents, may also be supplied by Mail if  the above options are not applicable.
