You can use the UN Common Library either physically by visiting
it during the UN official working hours or else you can use it remotely
by sending your information request by e-mail, phone or fax. Both
ways are equally effective
No. There is no membership required for using the UN Common Library's
resources and / or services. We have an open door policy. Any person
looking for information in UN relevant areas, is most welcomed to
use our Library.
Mainly for providing information support to the UN Agencies and
Organizations in the UN Common House. The staff of these UN Agencies
enjoys full rights including Book Loans and has access to all services
incuding Online Access to Library Catalog and other Databases
Subscribed by the Library. Other users have to visit the Library
to exploit the resources and services or use our remote reference
services.
No. But we have other arrangements to help you. If you are exploiting
an Online Database on our Free Internet Access Terminals, you can
send the required information to an e-mail address or save it on
a diskette to take with you. In case of print, you can use our photocopying
services to obtain a copy of required pages.
Our Ask Uncol Remote Reference Program
is specially designed for you. Send your request by e-mail, phone
or fax. The information will be sent to you as an e-mail attachment
or by fax. If you desire, the books can be sent by a courrier service.
