The UN Common Library provides Online access to a number of electronic information resources of the UN and its Funds, Programmes and Agencies. These include:

  • Bibliographic Reference Databases
  • Full-text Document Repositories
  • Global Statistics, etc.

Access to these resources is either IP-based which is open to the UN House users through our building wide LAN, or is  Password restricted.

Some resources among the listed ones are freely accessible through Internet too.

All of these resources can be freely consulted withinin  the UN Common Library with the help of the Library staff.

The United Nations Optical Disk System is the Official Electronic Repository of documents published by the United Nations. The full text of documents dating back to 1992 is accessible in Portable Document Format (PDF) in all official languages of the United Nations. Documents are stored in two databases, UN Documentation, which includes documents back to 1992 and UN Resolutions, which includes resolutions of the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council and Trusteeship Council since 1946.
