The World's Women 2000 is a Statistical source-book and comprehensive
analysis of how women fare in different parts of the world. The
World's Women 2000: trends and statistics is the third
issue in the series of reports (the other two issued in 1991 and
1995) that looks at the status of women through the lens of statistical
data and analysis.
Subjects:
The report highlights the main findings of statistical analysis
on women's situation as compared to men's worldwide in a broad range
of fields including families, health, education, work, human rights
and politics.

use of official statistics, this work facilitates national
and international policy formulation, implementation and monitoring.

on this website, are useful not only for all UN Agencies, but also
for the researchers, students, NGOs and / or oerganizations active
in any field relevant to women.

Like many of the Division's databases, The
World's Women 2000: trends and statistics is also available on the
Internet via the World Wide Web as well as in print. It is a series
of reports appearing at irregular intervals. It has been placed
on internet for the first time on May 31, 2000. The update information
is not available.
