Educational Planning and Management

UNESCO ERP's capacity building programme has targeted District Education Officers (DEOs), their deputies and assistants in NWFP and AJK .One of the primary objectives was to seek input from the district officials about their training needs and to use this input to structure the overall capacity building and teachers training programme. UNESCO ERP's implementing partners are the Directorate for Curriculum and Teacher Education (DCTE) in NWFP and the Directorate of Education Extension (DEE) in AJK. UNESCO ERP has engaged a group of international education experts, consisting of subjects specialists from the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) and consultants with a strong track record in educational material development and training in emergencies.

On the basis of these workshops and questionnaires, consultations were held with government officials and representatives from national training institutions. The training and capacity building plan was thus finalized.
