The material was fully translated to make sure that both Master Trainers and teachers could assimilate all the concepts and ensure sound comprehension of the tools introduced including disaster management, psychosocial support for teachers and students as well as the basic principles of participatory and learner-centered methodology. Over 500 teachers were trained in some of the most affected districts in Balochistan. Further trainings are planned by sister UN agencies with the same material.
Together with the teacher training material, a training of trainers was carried out, providing the Master Trainers with effective facilitation skills as well as an opportunity to have a better knowledge of the contents while having some demonstration sessions to receive feedback from their colleagues. |
